Director of Financial Reporting (DC Metro)

Base to $200,000 plus bonus and package

We are partnering with a highly successful multi-billion-dollar international group seeking an experienced Director of Financial Reporting to take ownership of external reporting and US GAAP compliance

The successful candidate will lead a talented financial reporting team while driving excellence across quarterly and annual reporting, technical accounting, governance, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

· Own the delivery of high-quality quarterly and annual external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

· Ensure all reporting commitments are delivered accurately and on time for the Board, Audit Committee, investors, banks, rating agencies, and debt markets.

· Support capital market activities.

· Oversee the reconciliation of US GAAP results to management reporting.

· Lead the development and expansion of non-GAAP reporting and disclosures.

· Manage relationships with external auditors to deliver an efficient, high-quality year-round audit process.

· Lead governance, compliance, and reporting projects within the broader finance organization.

· Ensure robust financial controls and reporting processes remain fit for purpose in a complex global environment.

Requirements

· CPA or CA with a background in the Big 4.

· Minimum 10+ years in financial reporting, external reporting, technical accounting.

· Experience working for a global company in excess of $Bn revenue.

· Proven experience leading and developing teams.

· Deep knowledge of US GAAP and external reporting requirements.

· Ability to combine technical accounting expertise with commercial insight and leadership.
